I'll Pay That - System
Registering an Account with Intervextion
To register an account with Intervextion, you are required to have a valid and working email address.
Firstly, visit the registration page: here
Fill out the form, with a valid email address, and submit.
Check your email inbox, shortly after registration you will recieve an email from Intervextion.com
Within the email you will see a website address, visit that address and your account will be activated.
How do I change my Signature?
Firstly, ensure that you are logged into your account.
Visit your profile page, this is accessible via the navigation menu to the top.
On this page there is a text field labelled 'Signature', enter the signature that you
wish to have displayed in your posts and comments, etc.
Click the submit button and your profile will be updated.
How do I change my Avatar image?
An avatar is an image that you can have displayed next to your name when
you've posted an article (thread, reply, comment etc). This avatar makes it
easy for other members to identify posts by you.
If you find an image on the internet that you'd like to show as your own avatar, you
need to find it's url. There are two methods that can be used to do this, depending
on whether you use [b]Internet Explorer[/b], or [b]Mozilla Firefox[/b] (these two
browsers are the two that we offer open support for).
Internet Explorer
Find the image you want to use.
Right click the image and click on 'Properties':
Within the properties window, there is a 'Address' field. Highlight the value next to that
and copy it (Ctrl+C).
Paste that value into the top 'Image URL' field in your user profile. (click here
to get to your profile, if you are logged in.
Mozilla Firefox
Find the image you want to use.
Right click the image and click on 'Copy Image Location':

Bold, Underline and Italics
When making posts, comments, or replies, you can format your text with the following tags:
[b]bold[/b] - bold
[u]underline[/u] - underline
[i]italics[/i] - italics
Insert YouTube videos into your posts
We now have the capability of inserting YouTube movies into your post.
1. Highlight the
Embed field content on the YouTube movie page.
2. Paste the text into notepad. Then highlight the
source path of the movie.
3. Copy & paste that text into the following tag:
[youtube=
(Insert Text Here)]
Example:
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/v/wHi32mKjkSo]
If done correctly, this will display the movie in your post.
Changing Colours
Changing font colours in a post is done using the following tag:
[colour=(INSERT COLOR HERE)]Text goes here[/colour]

Adding Links
Adding links in a post is done using the following tag:
[url=(INSERT website address)]Text goes here[/url]

I'll Pay That!
Intervextion has their very own system for rewarding people for intelligent, witty, interesting, or just plain
respectable posts made on the forums.
There are several rules to the payment system, that are very handy to know:
- You are allowed to 'pay' another member's post twice per day.
- When you pay someone's post, they are given equivilent to 10% of your own paid points.
- If 10% of your points is under 10, the member being paid is given 10 points, as a minimum.
- If 10% of you points is over 200, the member being paid is given 200 points, as a maximum.
- You will not be allowed to Pay your own posts, sorry. :)
- The system encourages you to spread the love, by not allowing more than 30% of your payments to be
given to one person.
To use the system, locate the post you wish to pay, and click on the "I'll Pay That" button in the bottom right
under the post.
A window will pop up on your screen similar to the one displayed:
If nothing happens when you click on the button, please make sure you allow pop-ups on Intervextion.
We never allow pop up ads, only our own pages.
Simply submit a message to go with your payment and if you've stuck to the rules, your payment will be processed.
